Project Description: The original house was built into a hillside for optimum energy-efficiency. Rooms were small and dark. To open up the space, and bring more light into each room, the home was expanded more than double its original size. Most every room now has access to the outdoors – via a private interior courtyard, several patios and a covered porch.
